My Year With Emma: In Search of the Perfect Cottage! I lost count of how many properties Emma searched out and presented to me, only to hear from me once again, “I don’t think it’s what I want”. We stood in awe of the beautiful Fall colours as the lakes reflected back. We walked together through the knee-deep snow of Winter. We had mud encrusted vehicles and were grateful for 4 X 4s in the early Spring. We were swarmed by black flies and mosquitos as Summer approached. Not once did Emma even consider giving up the search for the cottage property I was looking for. I had very particular wants/needs for the ideal property and Emma found it! Thank you so much Emma! It was a pleasure to spend time with you on this quest.

I believe that the extensive photography that was displayed on the internet was instrumental in attracting prospective buyers late in the year which is not usually a good time to sell a cottage. (thanks Daniel Parker)

Emma’s listing generated a lot of interest in our property and there were more showings than expected, however no offers until very near the expiration of the listing. Our property appealed to very specific buyers due to being off the grid and also having a steep hill down to the lake. It might have been helpful if advertising reflected these qualities of the property.

Emma’s hard work, diligence, and unending patience, helped us find the perfect cottage. She was available to us at all hours of the day or night, and willing to explore most of northern Ontario in an effort to please her client. She cheerily endured a few hours with us on a lonely icy road, in -15 temps, when my husband accidentally slid our car into a ditch. It must have been the excitement, for we had just left the perfect cottage, which we now own on Bay Lake! Emma continues to keep in touch and answer all of our ongoing inquiries, like a true friend.
